Toil Oregon wines are rooted in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of the picturesque Willamette Valley and artfully crafted alongside our sister winery, FIGGINS, in the beautiful Walla Walla Valley at the base of the Blue Mountains. While Pinot Noir remains the flagship wine, Chris' passion extends to elegantly approachable Chardonnay and patio perfect Rosé. Perched at an ideal elevation of 550-700 feet on a convex hilltop is the Toil Oregon Vineyard. Chris Figgins produced his first vintage of Pinot Noir in 2012, followed by the debut of Chardonnay and Rosé of Pinot Noir in 2016.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

A beautiful blushing pink. The aromatics are a lovely mix of tea roses, tart strawberry sorbet, rhubarb, and bubble gum. The palate has bright, refreshing acidity, creamy fruit, and a cleansing and persistent finish.

VINTAGE NOTES

What a dream vintage 2024 was! Nearly perfect growing temperatures all season long presented very few farming challenges, other than a rather large crop that required substantial fruit thinning. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many clusters on the ground to reach our desired crop level for quality. Our Estate Pinot Noir was all harvested on September 28th, with the Chardonnay coming two days later. The gorgeous, cool September rendered amazing flavors to the fruit with crisp acidities. I am pleased to say they have all the characteristics of an all-time Willamette Valley vintage!

A vibrant pink, the 100% Pinot Noir 2024 TOIL Rose spent time in stainless steel before bottling and release. It is juicy and vibrant wine that is already showing marvelously. Pink bubblegum and bright red fruits parade with citrus rind, and stony minerals on the palate. Beautifully textured, showing really nice weight and lovely earthy undertones, enjoy this beauty now and over the next six to eight years to come. Don’t serve too cold! Drink 2025-2031
