Toil Oregon wines are rooted in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of the picturesque Willamette Valley and artfully crafted alongside our sister winery, FIGGINS, in the beautiful Walla Walla Valley at the base of the Blue Mountains. While Pinot Noir remains the flagship wine, Chris' passion extends to elegantly approachable Chardonnay and patio perfect Rosé. Perched at an ideal elevation of 550-700 feet on a convex hilltop is the Toil Oregon Vineyard. Chris Figgins produced his first vintage of Pinot Noir in 2012, followed by the debut of Chardonnay and Rosé of Pinot Noir in 2016.

Rich color of ready-to-harvest wheat fields with a bright chartreuse tint. Lovely nose of citrus rind zest, white florals, and wet stones. The beautifully balanced palate explodes initially with bright fruit followed by round, rich creaminess, and a clean, refreshing, and lengthy finish.
VINTAGE NOTES
The 2021 vintage was all the way around a spectacular one. An abnormally dry spring in Willamette Valley meant we had to carefully manage the timing of plowing in our cover crop, so it did not offer too much competition for water with the vines. The decision to do so was rewarded when a summer heat wave in August struck and our Toil Estate Vineyard sailed through it without event. An absolutely gorgeous September allowed us to perfectly ripen this smaller-than-normal crop.
Most orders will ship the week of September 22nd, weather permitting. If we can ship yours sooner, we'll notify you by email or text-adult signature required for delivery. We ship via UPS only.
